Sports massage may be required to provide more direct attention on some specific areas, the therapist will apply an overall body approach while paying attention to trigger points which may be causing you some specific pain or discomfort.
Massage Therapy is hands-on treatment provided by trained therapists to assist with muscle tension due to injury or pain. You can discuss with your therapist why you have made the appointment and any areas you want to work on specifically. Throughout your appointment you can discuss where you are feeling those points of pressure and help them relieve those points of tension.

A massage appointment can provide an opportunity for you to loosen muscles which become tight due to work, or life tasks and help towards a regular maintenance program to keep you moving with less pain or more freedom from tight muscles.
Your masseuse will work you and ask for feedback during the session to help you, to get best outcomes it would be expected to have 2 - 3 sessions close together and then space the following sessions out as you and your therapist work towards reducing those restrictions. By building a pattern of treatment sessions you will get more from your investment in your body and better rewards from the treatments Your sessions will be either 30min, 45min or 60 min and can be longer on request.
